KATCHI (SUNDRIED) BRICK MAKING BEE (BAREFOOT ECO ENTREPRENEUR)

Day 9: Katchi (Sundried) Brick Making BEE will go to the village and perform the following tasks:

• Use non-saline soil from agricultural land for brick making.

• Prepared clay should be kept wrapped in polythene sheets.

• Dry soil used for brick making should also be non-saline and taken from agricultural land.

• Always use 2-brick wooden mold, specially designed for efficiency & accuracy.

• Only make bricks according to the sizes of the provided molds.

• After 24-hours of drying, store bricks in such a way that air movement is possible between the stacked layers.

Each household will pay Rs. 500 for this training and demonstration.
