CHULAH / SAVINGS BEE (BAREFOOT ECO ENTREPRENEUR)

Day 6 / 12: Chulah/ Savings BEE will go to the village and perform the following tasks:

Task list for Chulah:

• Get a Chulah model prepared a day before the visit at the registered village.

• Show pictures of completed Chulah stoves and describe in detail their working.

• Point out the benefits of using Pakistan Chulah Stove:

  • • Provide safety from heavy rains and flood water.

    • Prevention against lungs and eye diseases/infections.

    • Elevated stove keeps children away from heat and fire.

    • Keeps animal and pets away and safe.

    • Use of cow dung & saw dust briquettes instead of raw wood make it environment friendly.

    • These briquettes can be easily made or available at very low cost. 

Task List for Savings:

• Demonstrate benefits of savings to community women.

• Encourage them to save at least Rs. 50 per day.

• Select two women to take care of these community savings.

Each household will pay Rs. 30 for this training and demonstration.
